You Can Make A Difference, Inc. is the final phase in a journey that began many years ago. After years of aiding other organizations to prevent animal abuse, we created our organization.
It was the realization that only if we stopped the birth of unwanted animals that the vicious cycle of animal neglect, abuse, and abandonment would eventually be stopped, that moved us to establish this organization.
We hope that together, we can make a difference in the lives of many animals while educating others in responsible pet parenting. It is time for all touched by the unconditional love that animals can provide to start " paying forward."
Our organization is geared to serve residents in Gadsden, Liberty, and Jackson County, Florida.
Gadsden County is the second poorest county in the state of Florida. Although there is no animal shelter in the county, Animal Control Services manages a facility.
Our physical facility is located in our private residence. Our dogs/cats enjoy ample running, playing, and socializing space. Due to the high insurance costs associated with allowing visitors, we are not open to the public. Residents interested in any of our animals will get to meet them during the home visit, which is a prerequisite for adoption. We are a PRIVATE self-funded organization. Our services are offered via telephone at 850.775-7781 or
email ycmad2733@gmail.com, or via snail mail to P O Box 1050, Gretna, FL. 32352
